Following the mid-air collision near Reagan National Airport, which is thought to have killed 67 people, Prime Minister Modi offered his condolences.
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his sympathies for the mid-air collision that appeared to have killed 67 people near Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC.
“We stand in solidarity with the people of the United States,” Prime Minister Modi stated, expressing his deepest sympathies.
He expressed his deep sadness for the deaths in the horrific crash in Washington, DC, in a post on X. We send the victims’ families our deepest sympathies. In solidarity with the American people, we stand.
An American Airlines aircraft and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter collided in midair Wednesday evening close to Reagan National Airport outside of Washington, DC. Both airplanes crashed into the Potomac River as a result of the impact. According to US officials, all 67 individuals are believed to be dead.
CNN announced the recovery of the American Airlines plane’s black box, or data recorder, from the Potomac River.
According to CNN, US President Donald Trump also announced that he will be meeting with the victims’ families.
It goes without saying that I will be visiting with some of the families, but I will also be meeting with some of the folks who were severely harmed by their family members, Trump stated.
Donald Trump had already acknowledged the jet disaster as a “devastating moment” in the history of the country and expressed sorrow for the deaths.
He acknowledged the impact on families both domestically and overseas, including Russian passengers, and promised that efforts would be taken to identify the cause of the accident and stop similar occurrences in the future.
Speaking during a press conference about the plane crash, Trump stated, “Unfortunately, no survivors have been found. We mourn the loss of each and every one of our beautiful souls, which was taken from us so abruptly. This was a dark and agonizing night in our nation’s capital and in our history. Many individuals are being shaken by this, especially those from foreign countries.
