Tesla CEO Elon Musk has praised an Indian-origin X user who criticized a podcast presenter for claiming that “white South Africans are not Africans,” stating that the netizen presented a “sound argument.”
Musk first responded to the podcast video with a “hmm” caption, which prompted the X user of Indian descent to leave a comment.
On the podcast, The Hustlers Corner SA, music executive Nota Baloyi made contentious comments about white and black South Africans, which ignited the controversy.
Ankush Sharma, an X user with an Indian-sounding name, responded with a thorough note. Additionally, according to his X bio, he currently calls Chicago home.
There would be no brown British man who is British, no black American who is American, no black Jamaican who is Jamaican, and no black Frenchman who is French if white South Africans are not Africans. One way is not possible without the other. In response to Musk’s “Hmm” response, Sharma said, “White South Africans are Africans.”
