Co-jointly with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the US and Israel have always talked in terms of a common strategy concerning the future of Gaza.
Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, lauded US President Donald Trump’s vision for Gaza’s future and threatened to open the gates of hell for Hamas if all the captives were returned.
According to a joint article with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Benjamin Netanyahu said that the United States and Israel share a “common strategy” regarding the future of Gaza.
As part of a regional tour, Rubio arrived in Jerusalem on Sunday. However, according to reports, Saudi Saudis are likely to oppose his plan to move Palestinian inhabitants and rehabilitate Gaza under US control.
Together they released a statement that read, “We don’t necessarily tell the world every single detail of this strategy. For example, we can’t say exactly when in our judgment the gates of hell will be opened if all our hostages are not released, and surely they will be with the last one.”
“We will bring all our hostages home, we will eliminate Hamas’ political and military power in Gaza, and we will make sure Gaza never again threatens Israel,” the statement continued.
Netanyahu hailed the unequivocal support that Israel is receiving from the US as it believes that it’ll help in swiftly achieving the objectives and set us on a path for a different future. The remarks by the two leaders come about two weeks before the first phase of the Israel-Gaza ceasefire is bound to end.
The parties have not yet discussed the second phase of the ceasefire deal, which calls for the departure of Israeli soldiers, a permanent truce, and the release of hundreds of Palestinian inmates in exchange for Hamas releasing any remaining hostages.
