FSR Global and Ata Power-DDL have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together on capacity building, renewable energy technology innovation, and policy research.
Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL) on its Monday announced that it has signed a preliminary agreement with FSR Global for the advancement of smart grid innovation and policy research.
To improve industry expertise and advance best practices in the electricity sector, the alliance intends to support extensive research projects, technical publications, and information-sharing activities, according to a release.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been inked by Tata Power-DDL and FSR Global to work together on capacity building, policy research, and sustainable energy technology innovation, the release said.
The collaboration is viewed as a major step forward for regulatory excellence and sustainable energy solutions, with a particular emphasis on the growth of India’s smart grid.
In a very recent press release, Gajanan S Kale, CEO of Tata Electricity, declared, “This partnership will enable faster deployment of smart grid technology enhancing reliability, efficiency and resilience in the power sector of India. It would be beneficial in the long run to our communities and economy.”
In addition to investigating technological matters, this MoU will also aim at labor expansion in India and sharing the Indian experience with other Global South countries. Swetha Ravi Kumar, Executive Director of FSR Global, noted, “We look forward to innovating and demonstrating some of the smart grid use cases through this partnership.”
Tata Power and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi have partnered to form Tata Power-DDL. It serves almost 9 million people in North Delhi and distributes electricity.
